about
Unexpectedly flipping the energy of one of the most intoxicating club records of the year, Josh Caffé returns to Phantasy with ‘Do You Want To Take Me Home Pt. 2 (Still In The Club)’.
Initially emerging as a gritty and charismatic slice of raw, jackin’ house, produced alongside Quinn Whalley of Paranoid London, Caffe’s yearning vocal performance takes on new depths of sensuality in this smoldering live rendition. Assisted by friend and guitarist Karen Grymm, Caffé seductively diverts the tempo from 45 down to 33, reimagining ‘Do You Want To Take Me Home’ in the spirit of personal heroes such as Prince.
An accompanying video captures a performance from the London-born artist owning the after hours dancefloor at Fabric, where Caffé serves as resident and co-founder for queer party Love Child.
This compilation, featuring Ciel, Maral, Ariel Zetina, and other contemporary house visionaries, benefits NY charity Child Mind. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 8, 2019
